A little background on rosewood “Dalbergia sissoo” is a fast-growing deciduous tree that can grow to fifty feet high with up to a forty-foot canopy. It has dark brown heartwood and white to pale brown sapwood. The tree has small white or yellow flowers growing in clusters. The flowers produce pods that are green to light brown in color and contain bean shaped seeds. Rosewood is found in the tropics in Central and South America, Asia and Africa.
