Brilliant blue lapis inlay accents this stunning Sugi accent/sofa table. This one-of-a-kind live edge table measures 64” long by 16” at its widest point and is 30” high. Sugi is also known as Japanese maple and is used for furniture because of its durability and resistance to the forces of nature. This sugi , Cryptomeria japonica, came from Hawaii although it is native to Japan. The heartwood is reddish brown. The sapwood is more of a straw color that distinctly stands out from the heartwood.
